This heat recovery ventilation (HRV) system is very different than what people are probably used to seeing, where air is directed to a centralized core for a heat exchange before being exhausted from the house. Lunos is a decentralized system with a series of self-contained units, each with their own ceramic heat exchange core. They work in pairs blowing in opposite directions to maintain air pressure, and reversing directions every 90 seconds or so, which is how they absorb and release heat.
The video should give you a pretty good idea of how they work, for further research we have other pages where you can learn a bit more about why you need ventilation, and options for how to go about it.
Could you please provide an update on the Lunos system that was installed. Are they as efficient as stated, would you use them again, and have you experienced any issues with the system.
Thx
