Environmental mission and strategy (ESG)
Before Stego Industries codified its sustainability efforts under its Stego Footprint project, we already led our industry in green initiatives - both on the projects we supplied our products to and in how we conducted our business operations. Stego proudly converted its corporate headquarters in sunny San Clemente, California to a 100 percent solar-powered facility in 2010. The Health Product Declaration (HPD) enables manufacturers to present building product ingredients in a format that is consistent, transparent and in a common language consumers can understand. Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is the most widely used green building rating system in the world. Available for virtually all building, community, and home project types, LEED provides a framework to create healthy, highly efficient, and cost-saving green buildings. LEED certification is a globally recognized symbol of sustainability achievement. LP50 is a collection of leading building product manufacturers working collaboratively to transform the sustainable materials marketplace. The LP50 members are not only committed to leading by example; they are working to engage with and educate other members of the value chain: design professionals, contractors, suppliers, and our own teams. Widening the circle and closing the loop on meaningful action is the key to accelerated market transformation.
