About
AJIA began in 1994, when Norm Morrison and his bride returned from Japan to their hometown in North Vancouver, BC to raise a family. In Japan, Norm had built a successful home building business, and upon his return, his very satisfied Japanese clients insisted that he continue to build for them. Rising to the challenge, Norm devised a way to pre-fabricate the home package panels with locally sourced, Canadian lumber, and ship it overseas. And with that, AJIA – which means Asia in Japanese- was born.
In 2000, after delivering several home projects to friends and family in BC as ‘favours’, Norm realized that there was a market for custom designed prefabricated homes in Canada and the USA. That’s when AJIA began prefabricating Recreational Home Packages for the Canadian market.
In 2012, AJIA further expanded to become a fully licensed home builder offering complete building contractor services from design to turn-key, with the classic AJIA prefab home package of any size, as the star of the show.
Since then, AJIA has continued to build beautiful homes even on the most remote and beautiful pieces of land in BC and ship their Home Packages around the world. Proud to be owned locally and yet operating globally, AJIA believes in delivering a genuine product, that meets the desires of the client while still maintaining all of the advantages that come with a prefab construction system.
