Project Manager
Mike was the project manager for Canada’s first LEED V4 Platinum certified home built by Ecohome, the Edelweiss, which was called a “phenomenal achievement” by Thomas Mueller, President of the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC). He's since managed many more demonstration projects to prove that building sustainable and healthy homes doesn't have to cost more!
Housing Mentor
Mike works as a housing mentor in the Indigenous Clean Energy (ICE) Network, helping First Nations communities find the best way to upgrade existing homes, and to adopt sustainable and resilient practices for new construction. "I find it inspiring and rewarding to work with young and upcoming community leaders who want to help their communities by building and renovating homes to high energy efficiency standards."
Green Building Instructor
Mike also works as a guest instructor in regional architectural design and construction schools to help upgrade curriculums and give workshops on sustainable design to both teachers and students. He's also done countless videos on the ins and outs of green building best practices as co-founder of The Ecohome Network - the world's largest green building network.
