Can houses built on screw piles move?
My 560 sq.ft. Knotty Pine Cabin sits on screw piles and rocks in high wind and a little during the stat of the spin cycle on the washing machine. Should I be concerned? Is this common?

Hi Pamela, I'd certainly suggest you should investigate - is it the connection between the house and the screw piles that is loose? The screw piles themselves that are moving in the ground? I can suggest solutions for either, but really need to know what the problem is before suggesting a solution based on symptoms...
Hey Robert, I've built a shed on helical piles as well. It's a two storey shed style. I have a little movement when on the roof (not much, but enough to ask someone) I believe its the screw piles moving slightly? But either way I was curious what solutions you would have for the mentioned above comment. Thanks.!
