I have a few questions so we can best help you – What is your climate zone? And will the floor be carrying the weight of the building? Do you have plans drawn and a building permit yet?
Yours is a very interesting question, and we will help as best we can. I don’t think Hemp is a wise solution in this case, normally under a foundation floor you would find foam insulation, though in 2015 we did build a demonstration house on a slab on grade using mineral insulation below the floor, would that work for you? Hemp insulation is an organic material and it would need to be kept dry. Mineral wool and EPS rigid foam insulation are both suitable for below slabs, so I think you’re best with one of those.
