Yes, you can pour a slab on grade as a frost protected shallow foundation directly adjacent to a house with an existing foundation. You would need to have it properly engineered of course a good possible solution in such a case would be an prefab engineered raft slab kit as they only require the removal of the top 6 inches of organic matter, so you would not need to do much excavation around the perimeter of the existing basement.
Can this be done in Quebec and/or Legalett without the integrated heated floor system? So with just the raft slab foundation.
