Is it to protect indoor air quality, for durability, or just for choosing more eco friendly building materials? MDF isn’t a great product for any of those reasons. The more processed a wood product is the more susceptible it is to mold growth, and MDF is little more than dust and glue. In general, the most durable wood products starts with solid wood and progressively becomes less durable the smaller the particles become.
