What tips are there for how to build a deck that will last longer?
Based in Surrey BC, Canada, I've been trying to get local professionals to build us a deck but I've only managed to get one quote so far and it was eye-watering, so I'm considering doing it myself with my brother-in-law to help. We don't need a permit as it's under 2ft off the ground, but I do want to build it right so it lasts - do you have any good basic deck building tips to share please?
