Choosing the right insulation: use different insulation materials for different applications
Mineral wool batts are more firm, so they are easier to cut and fit into small and odd-sized spaces. Just that alone with being able to fill cavities better is an immediate improvement, but also it has a higher R value per inch that fiberglass insulation. So you pay more, but you get a higher R value wall so you save on your heating bills.
One of the biggest benefits from mineral wool is the durability. Moisture can pass right thought it without causing any harm, it can get wet and stil function perfectly once it dries, it is also reduces sound transmission for better soundproofing, it is also fire-proof.
