Should I put an air barrier and vapour barrier on the walls of a bathroom renovation for a 1949s home?

I have gutted an old bathroom in a lath and plaster home with 1x6 boards and cedar shakes on the exterior. I was going to install rockwool in the wall and use drywall and vapour retardant primer. Considering air leakage would using a poly vapour barrier over the insulation and drywall installed over that be a better solution to address air leakage and vapour barrier requirements?
