Nestled in the heart of Chelsea, with Kings Road in one direction and the River Thames at the other, what better location could this Luxury Interior Chelsea Townhouse project be in?
A returning client from Esher, Surrey asked us to completely remodel the property from the basement to top floor, including the terrace and courtyard. The style was to be soft country, with London overtones, ensuring her personal taste of soft blues and crèmes were fully considered within the schemes we chose.
With a history of working on luxury interior design projects, we were quickly able to establish a rapport, embrace the brief, and set a lively pace together. We began with spatial changes which included 3 new bathrooms and cloakroom; beautiful bespoke joinery, including wardrobes; a new study and entertainment area, encompassing a full lighting design, and all the nuances of luxury interiors.
These include delicious April Hamilton bespoke furniture and soft luxury fabrics, from all of our favourites, such as Colefax and Fowler, Ana French, Thaibut, Andrew Martin, and Larsen. With lighting from Vaughans, John Cullen, Heathfields and Porta Romana. Some OKA furniture was used alongside Chelsea Textiles and Sofa & Chair supporting the April Hamilton Luxury interior design brand.
A special request from the client was to create an understated and a comfy TV room supported by a drinks area to the back, (definitely not a sleek home cinema on this occasion). Our client certainly felt that we achieved what the brief had set out.
My personal favourite was the master bedroom. Our timeless and elegant painted furniture, with mother of pearl handles, is a perineal favourite with many clients and it is always a pleasure to design and make bespoke pieces like this. The four poster bed is pure luxury, adorned with designer fabrics and made specifically for the space. It evokes an air of romance and an irresistible calling for a champagne breakfast. What better way to spend a Sunday morning!
