Work Experience Background and References:
I grew up around construction, large-scale farming, and forest management.
I took Architectural Technology at Toronto’s Humber College's “School of the Built Environment”. I am very interested in and experienced with high performance design and building techniques,.
I have 30 years of experience building homes and buildings. I have owned and operated G west Building Services since 2009. Before that I was a partner in an award winning framing and roofing company for several years, then before that I was partners in an HVAC and construction company, designing, selling and installing heat-pump systems, wood-burning systems, combo system retrofits and much more.
I have experience troubleshooting and fixing buildings, specializing in multi-home retrofits with minimum disruption. We creatively and accurately installed missing firewalls, incorrectly installed chimneys and solved many other issues from structural to water shedding on hundreds of homes from large new developments to heritage custom homes.
I am a Wood Energy Technical Trained Certified Comprehensive SITE inspector,
I designed and oversaw the construction of the below referenced Eco-Pioneering Project. It was the first commercial both office and production facility designed and built to the rigorous Passive House Building Standard in Canada.

In 2021, once I completed a beautiful, highly automated, very custom, and energy efficient, home for clients on Georgian Bay, I had the opportunity to relocate to a beautiful area of Cape Breton Nova Scotia Canada.
